Voyager Portal Achieves SOC 2 Type II Certification

We are delighted to share a significant achievement at Voyager: We’re now proudly Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II certified, a recognition awarded by independent auditor Prescient Assurance.

The SOC 2 Type II certification is a rigorous audit process that evaluates our information security practices, policies, procedures, and operational systems against the stringent standards set by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).

This certification validates that Voyager provides enterprise-level security for customers’ data and places us in an elite league of organizations, including SAP, Salesforce, Oracle and Microsoft.

“Our clients trust us with their critical data, and achieving SOC 2 Type II certification underscores our commitment to safeguarding that information,” said Bruno Palacio, Head of Customer Success at Voyager Portal. “This certification not only strengthens our security posture but also provides our clients with the assurance that we are operating at the highest global standards of security and compliance.”

The Audit Process

The audit was in-depth and carried out by Prescient Assurance, an acknowledged leader in B2B and SaaS company certification in security and compliance. In order to have been awarded the SOC 2 Type II certificate, Voyager was tested through a few areas:

  • Secure Personnel & Development: Ensure that the personnel dealing with data are vetted properly and trained frequently on best security practices. Build in secure development lifecycle principles into all projects, ensuring periodic security assessments and code reviews.

  • Cloud Security and Robust  Infrastructure: Advanced cloud security is in place to protect data in motion as well as data at rest, thereby securing isolated customer environments. It maintains a robust and resilient infrastructure that supports secure operations and rapid recovery in the case of incidents.

  • Data Encryption and Security Testing: The software uses high-grade encryption protocols to ensure that data is safe in transition, mitigates any possible data breach, and maintains data integrity during rest. Undertake extensive testing of systems, including vulnerability scans and penetration tests, with a view to identifying and remediating potential security issues.

What's Next?

We will continue to enhance our security measures, staying ahead of emerging threats and ensuring that our clients’ data remains protected. This certification is a significant milestone, but it is just one part of our ongoing commitment to security.
