As we kick off the year, Voyager is introducing new features to simplify demurrage claims, improve negotiation workflows, and enhance data accuracy.
Our recent product updates focus on reducing manual work and improving collaboration, making it easier to receive and manage counterparty claims, streamline data entry, and negotiate settlements without endless email threads.
Here’s what’s new:
Demurrage
Negotiations Cockpit
Voyager now enables direct interaction with shipowners and brokers, allowing you to share counterclaims, compare calculations, and highlight clause differences with a few clicks., ensuring both parties have full visibility into the reasoning behind each adjustment.
The other party receives a limited-access view, where they can accept, reject, or add context to clauses—factoring in real-world port conditions like inspections and weather delays. Supporting documents and comments can be attached directly, and all interactions are tracked in real time, with notifications keeping you informed at every step.
Over time, this can provide insights into negotiation trends, helping you understand which clauses are most contested, which counterparties negotiate the hardest, and how long settlements take—allowing you to optimize contracts and voyage planning with real data-driven decisions.
External Claims Submission
Handling third-party demurrage claims is now more structured and efficient with External Claim Submission. Now you can invite counterparties to submit claims through a dedicated form, ensuring all required details are captured upfront.
- Send an invitation: Share a secure form link with third parties to submit their claims directly into Voyager.
- Automatic confirmation: The counterparty receives an email confirming their submission.
- Internal notifications: Your team is alerted whenever a new claim is submitted.
- Acknowledgment updates: The counterparty is notified when their claim is reviewed.
- Request additional details: If more information is needed, analysts can request it directly through the platform, ensuring everything stays documented.
This feature reduces back-and-forth emails, keeps all claim data centralized, and ensures faster processing from the start.
Sedna Integration
If you are using your inbox to manage demurrage, it is critical to keep supporting documents and communications organized. Our Sedna integration makes it easier to manage claims by connecting emails, attachments, and claim records directly within Voyager.
With this update, you can:
- Push documents from emails into Voyager without manually downloading and uploading files.
- Link documents from other messages to the claim record with a job tag, keeping everything in one place.
- Create a claim directly from Sedna the moment an email arrives, ensuring a smoother workflow.
- Send settlement communications faster with pre-formatted emails that include all necessary claim details and attachments.
By keeping claims and email communications connected, teams can reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and speed up the claims process without disrupting their workflow.
Voyage Management
Suspend Workflow
We’ve also introduced a workflow suspension reason prompt to improve process tracking and accountability. When suspending a workflow, users will now be prompted to enter a reason, which is logged for future reference. This ensures better visibility into why workflows are paused, helping teams maintain clarity and compliance without disrupting operations.
Enhanced cargo table management
We have deployed an improved UI and UX version of our cargo table within the details tab in the voyage. Besides improving visibility, now users can instantly copy an existing cargo line, with all details pre-filled. This reduces manual input, minimizes errors, and speeds up workflow—ensuring greater efficiency across all cargo operations.
